New 435hp tractor features compact, lightweight design for flexible operation / Offers time-saving technologies including central tire inflation, top speed of 60 km/h

The winner of the Medium-Large Tractor category of the 2026 Farm Machinery of the Year competition is the Case IH Optum® 440, which leads a line of new tractors that expand the Optum range into the 360-435 hp segment. 

Formerly known as Machine of the Year, the award is presented every two years during the Agritechnica trade fair in Hanover, Germany. Thirteen categories are judged by editors of leading German agricultural technology trade publications, along with international colleagues from ten other countries. 

Three new Optum models with 360-435 hp Led by the Optum 440, which will debut at Agritechnica 2025, the range features an all-new design that combines a long wheelbase with compact dimensions, creating versatility for tasks ranging from high-speed road transport to light field work or heavy-duty draft work.

The 8.7-litre Cursor 9 engines drive a new 4x2 CVXDrive transmission with a top speed of 60 km/h to minimise travel time. The braking systems have also been upgraded. Other features include a new independent front axle suspension and an optional fully integrated central tyre inflation system for quick adaptation to road and field conditions. Integrated precision farming technology includes Connectivity Included (no additional subscription or connection fees), telematics, ISOBUS compatibility and Tractor Implement Management (TIM). Case IH FieldOps™ simplifies machine and agronomic data management.
