The performance and performance benefits of a new heavy-duty suspension developed for the flagship 2025 Case IH Quadtrac tractors have been recognized with the EIMA International 2024 Technical Innovation Award from the industry's international panel of experts.
The competition has been part of the international Italian exhibition of agricultural machinery since 1986. The competition is open to EIMA exhibitors who have developed innovative machines, accessories or components. With this in mind, Case IH has introduced a new heavy-duty suspension system for its latest Quadtrac tractors, the first full-suspension undercarriage technology available for a four-track tractor, which improves comfort in the field and on the road, increases acreage and increases productivity through higher potential operating speeds on uneven surface.

The heavy-duty suspension is designed from the ground up for the 715+ horsepower rating available on the recently introduced Quadtrac 715. The system is fully mechanical and hydraulically damped, with no additional sensors or wiring. Independently suspended support and intermediate roller wheels in the undercarriage provide a 42% reduction in vertical acceleration at the operator's seat when driving on the road. Thanks to the independent double suspension, the intermediate rollers fully follow the ground topography, allowing higher field travel speeds in difficult field conditions to ensure high productivity and desired results from the work equipment. The system also maximizes the area of each track for greater traction and the least possible soil pressure, minimizing soil compaction and smearing. At each corner of the tractor, the drive wheel is 11% larger in diameter and the rubber track is 5% longer – compared to current Quadtrac models – to help ensure longer track life. The system is grease-free and has maintenance-free bushings and pins. The automatic track tension system ensures correct tension regardless of the conditions.
The largest farms continue to grow in size, and new Quadtrac features such as the heavy-duty suspension are designed to help them maximize productivity with higher operating speeds to get the best results and highest output from the largest equipment. At the same time, operator comfort, which is so important to attracting and retaining good staff, is improved both in the field and on the road, and thanks to maintenance-free components, the suspension system does not increase the operator's workload, ensuring continued focus perform basic tasks.
